Just a note to say thank you so much! My precious cavallo riding boots were returned this morning and you have done a fabulous job. The entire heel block was torn away from one boot whilst trying to remove the boots from rather hot and sweaty legs after riding in 32 deg heat. With the
regional dressage championships looming panic set in as I struggled to find anyone in England who could do the repair. A cry for help posted on the British Dressage forum resulted in being recommended to you. Your card has now been pinned to the notice board in our yard tack room as I
cannot recommend your service highly enough. A super job has been done on my boots, at a very reasonable price and with a quick turn around time. All communication with staff has been friendly and helpful.

SIR – In the heart of the northerly town of Thurso there is a wonderful, traditional cobbler's, where Will Parkinson (Letters, February 11) can not only have his shoes repaired, but also have zips replaced in leather jackets and luggage, repairs made to sails or horse blankets, and endless other jobs requiring specialist stitching.

Unfortunately, it is a long way from London but if he trusts Royal Mail not to lose his shoes, he need not buy a new pair for years to come.
